What is Two-Step Verification?
With two-step verification, you can add an extra layer of security to your Google account in case your password is stolen. To log in, not only a password is required, but also a Two-Step Verification code. This Two-Step Verification code can be generated in various ways. For instance, you can have a code sent to your mobile number, or generate it using an Authenticator app like Google Authenticator or a password manager such as 1Password.
